Hey guys, I’m going to show you a simple way to generate leads without spending a single buck on advertising.
- No, you don’t have to do any paid ads.
- You don’t need to purchase any software.
- You don’t need to depend on anyone to get these leads.
I have used this technique a few times now to generate targeted leads that users are willingly opt-in to.
All I used to generate these leads was Canva -which is a free graphic design tool, Mailchimp which is a free email marketing tool, or Mailerlite, if you prefer that, and a few days of researching and writing quality content.
But before I get into how to do it, I will show you a proof first.
If you check the video above you will notice that I generated 260 leads for a Lead Magnet I created that targeted social media marketers
And the second one is 374 subscribers, this one was purely through writing quality content.
The latest proof is for an IELTS Client of mine, I’ve generated about 32 leads in a span of a week and it keeps growing. I’m expecting it to hit 100 in the next 3-4 weeks.
So now that you have seen that it works, here is how you can get leads for Free by creating Powerful Lead Magnets.
I will be using my IELTS client’s example as a demonstration.
Table of Contents
Step 1: Research
I researched the pain points of IELTS aspirants and after gathering all that data, I created a helpful infographic that will help students prepare for their IELTS exams. A quick checklist of sorts.
Step 2: Create a Freebie
I designed the Checklist using Canva and selecting the Infographic template, and made it look neat and attractive.
Step 3: Upload it on Google Drive
I exported it as a PDF and uploaded it to my Google Drive account and generated a sharable link. So that anyone with this link can get access to the PDF
Step 4: Use MailChimp
I used a Mailchimp account, if you dont have one, you can sign up for a free Mailchimp account that gives you the option to add up to 2000 subscribers and send up to 10,0000 emails per month in their free plan. It’s a good tool to use for email marketing and design newsletters.
Step 5: Design your Landing Page
Mailchimp lets you design landing pages, so I designed a landing page, I’ll show you their landing page. I have designed it in such a way that once a user fills their email id and Name, they will immediately get redirected to the IELTS PDF
That email then gets stored in your Mailchimp account. Now, this lead will be then used by my client for his IELTS training services sales pitch.
Once I get the landing page link, you can share it on Social Media, Relevant groups, on WhatsApp, or just share it with people who are looking for IELTS help.
You can even embed such offers on your website to generate organic traffic.
For example, I wrote an article on SWOT Analysis in Digital Marketing, which is a niche article and ranks on the first 4 positions of Google for specific keywords, I started receiving a lot of organic traffic on this article.
To add more value to my article, I also created a simple SWOT Analysis Checklist and Uploaded it on Drive.
I then added the sharable link to my article, and BOOM, I ended up generating 300+ Leads and counting just via organic traffic.
You can replicate this for any niche as long as the intention is to create content that will help your prospects.
The chances of getting leads by just directly spamming people about your services are very low, the best way to showcase your services is by creating content that solves problems.
